Omar Roth, Founder, Salon O Greenwich

Omar Roth’s passion for the beauty industry began at just seventeen years old. Even at that early age, he understood that becoming an exceptional stylist would require more than creativity and ambition—it would require discipline, technical education, and experience alongside some of the most respected professionals in the industry. Determined to build that foundation, Omar made his way to New York City and began pursuing a career that would ultimately take him from Fifth Avenue to the forefront of luxury hair styling.
His first professional opportunity came on Fifth Avenue, where he worked for renowned designer Sergio Valente. It was there that Omar began refining his skills and developing a deeper understanding of the artistry, precision, and personal attention required to succeed in the
world of high-end beauty. During this formative period, he recognized Frederick Fekkai as one of the leading names in the hair industry and became determined to learn under Fekkai himself.
Before long, Omar earned a position at the prestigious Frederick Fekkai Salon at Bergdorf Goodman. Surrounded by some of the industry’s most talented stylists, he continued to advance his technical abilities while developing the elevated, client-focused approach that would become central to his career. His work brought opportunities to style celebrities, participate in major fashion productions—including Seventh on Sixth—and contribute to editorial projects where creativity, technique, and attention to detail were essential. However, it was his work styling Anna Nicole Smith for the cover of New York Magazine—and the controversy that followed—that ultimately placed him on the celebrity radar.
After establishing himself in New York City, Omar was introduced to internationally recognized celebrity stylist José Eber of Beverly Hills. Impressed by Omar’s talent, leadership, and understanding of the luxury salon experience, Eber invited him to join the launch of his first East Coast salon in Westchester County. Omar was asked not only to bring his talents to the salon as a top stylist, but also to serve as Salon Director.
For five years, Omar helped lead the salon while building a loyal clientele and establishing a reputation for exceptional service, sophisticated style, and an ability to bring out the best in every person who sat in his chair. With decades of experience, an established creative vision, and a clear understanding of what clients deserve from a premium salon experience, Omar was ready to take on his greatest professional challenge: opening a salon of his own.
That vision became Salon O.
At Salon O, Omar has created an environment where technical expertise, individual expression, and genuine hospitality come together. His philosophy is centered on enhancing each client’s natural beauty rather than imposing a style that does not feel authentic.
“I like stylish, but natural-looking hair,” Omar says. “Women have such a natural beauty. My job is to understand what motivates them and bring that beauty forward—not only through their hair, but through the way they feel about themselves.”
For Omar, creating the right look is never limited to a haircut or color service. It is about understanding the complete picture. He may recommend softening a hair color, adjusting the shape of a cut, or even reconsidering a makeup shade that is competing with a client’s natural features. Every detail should work together to create an appearance that feels beautiful, refined, soft, and sophisticated.
Omar begins every client relationship by listening. He takes the time to understand each person’s lifestyle, preferences, concerns, and goals before recommending a direction. Whether a client is seeking a subtle refresh, a polished professional look, or a more significant transformation, the process remains personal and collaborative.
“It’s not about me—it’s about my client,” Omar explains. “While I execute my job, I never lose sight of their needs or concerns.”
That same philosophy applies to Omar’s male clientele. His approach is always individualized, thoughtful, and designed to complement the person rather than overpower them. Whether working with a man or a woman, Omar’s goal remains the same: to create a look that feels natural, confident, effortless, and distinctly their own.
For Omar, bringing out the best in someone is what the beauty industry is truly about. Every client deserves the opportunity to look polished, feel confident, and leave the salon feeling better than when they arrived. At Salon O, that belief continues to guide every service, every consultation, and every client experience.
